How to completely shut off my iPhone 4S if the button doesn't work?
My button to turn off my phone is either stuck or just doesn't work so i have to use assistive touch to turn it off but do you know how I can completely power it off without using the button?
Fix the button!
Press the lock button in the assitive touch menu for a few seconds, and the slide to power done button will pop up. BUT, since your lock button isn't working you can only turn on your phone ( after shutting it down) by connecting it to power and holding down the home button ( even if it's fully charged!)
Yes! You said you have the accessible touch, all you have to go to the Power Button to turn on and of the screen in the acesseve touch menu and touch and hold it. :]
But, BEWARE, the only way you can turn it back on is the plug it in for a couple of seconds until the apple logo shows up.
Use assistive touch. Go to device and tap and HOLD "Lock screen." It will then bring up the "slide to power off icon. I have no clue how you're going to turn it back on though. If you iphone is under a year old then apple will replace it for free, if it's NOT cracked, punctured, or water damaged.
- Screen on/off button on my iPhone 4s doesn't work? Its very hard to push all the sudden like its stuck. I had it in a otterbox defender series since the day I bought it and nothing has been spilled on it or anything not sticky or anything whatsoever. - My iphone has a black screen after jailbreak just completely shut off? I have tried restoring but it gives me errors and I tried all the buttons and hard resets and all that stuff didn't work. Tried redsnow to boot and tiny umbrella to fix recovery but never worked but still nothing? I can hear sounds but just nothing will show up nothing just pure balck it doesn't even get lighter.
