How to connect iphone 4s to a projector?

I have the correct connector but when i pug it into the projector the screen is just blue. I have tried switching the sources but it still does not show youtube. Or anything for that matter. Is there something I need to enable for this to work?

  • Where can I get a good projector? I want a projector so I can watch movies outside and project them onto the side of the house. I don't want it to be more than $100 and it would need to project a good distance. I was thinking if it hooks up to and iphone/iPad I could buy movies off of iTunes but I would prefer it to run on dvds. Any help finding one?
