How to connect iPhone to MacBook Wi-Fi?
I need to know how I can use the Wi-Fi system my computer is connected to, to act as a personal hotspot for my iPhone. I use a USB internet router in my computer so I can have access to internet anywhere but I would like to know how I can hook my phone up into this as a hotspot because I don't have any cellular data on my phone.
You can use your Mac for internet sharing, if you go to network preferences you'll find an option for sharing out your Wi-Fi connection. This only works if you don't use your Wi-Fi to connect to the internet, but this should be OK if you use an USB dongle or Ethernet cable for internet connectivity.
- Why won't my iPhone connect to my macbook? I plug my phone into my mac using a usb cord and everything and it won't connect. I've tried different cords, pulling the cord out and putting it back in, I've literally tried everything. My iPhone has connected before so i don't know why it won't connect anymore. - Iphone won't connect to macbook? - 1 Yesterday when i plugged my iphone (5s) into the computer to charge it it wouldn't connect to my macbook pro, however it does work into the wall so i know the cable isn't broken. How do i fix this?!
- IPhone 4 won't connect to Macbook? I've had my iPhone 4 for a bit over a year now and it has always connected fine to my macbook but now it won't. When I plug it into the usb port and open iTunes it doesn't show that my iPhone is connected so I can't sync it or anything. It also won't connect to iPhoto. What can I do to fix this? It will connect to the charger
