How to create a simple iPhone app w/ no programming skills?
Hi! I'm a sophomore in high school and we have to do a "personal project" which is due in May. I really want to create an iPhone app (not anything like Angry Birds, just something simple). I'm going to buy a Mac this week, but note that I have absolutely no programming skills (I only know HTML basics). Do you know how I can learn developing a simple iPhone app and how much can it take? Would I be able to make it? It's very important to me. Maybe there are some programs that will let me create an iPhone app using some templates? I can't hire anyone to do it, I have to create it all by myself. Any help is appreciated.
Sorry dude without programming skills there's not a lot you would be able to make, I won't use any of the technical terms it would only make it sound scary, and programming IS NOT scary.
So you have 6 months to LEARN to make an APP.

You need to get that book. I'm SURE your parents will want you to have school books. So convince them it really is for school which it is.
Then spend the next 6 months EVERY day for at least 1 HOUR study and practicing. Then in about 3 months you will be ready to build your apps. Over the following 3 months they will get better and better.
Visit www.thegamecreators.com. They have a product called the App Game Kit or AGK. Its specifically designed for beginners to learn how to make simple apps for the various phone and tablet platforms.
I use another product they have called Dark Basic Pro (which is now free) but its a little more complicated and I don't think you can make iPhone apps with that. I don't know if the AGK will run on a Mac. I have both a PC & Mac and I know Dark Basic doesn't yet run on a mac.
