How to crop a picture into a cirlce without the big white backround?

I'm trying to crop a picture into a circle on my iphone. But when i do, it saves with a big white backround. How do i get rid of that?

PNG and TIFF support transparent background. Does your iPhone support transparent backgrounds in those formats? My guess: probably not. You'll need to use a decent photo editor like Photoshop or The GIMP to do this.
