How to cut back on iphone data usage

I've got a text saying that i've used 65% of my data usage on my iphone. How can i cut back on my data usage? What uses a lot of data? Is it imessage? Or just a lot of apps(don't even have that many apps).

Do this
Settings>General>Cellular>Turn Cellular Data off [ This is what lets you use the iPhone internet ]

My iPhone plan allows me to have $350 of calls and infinite text and 500mb of data each month
I never go over because I just text a lot and have Wi-Fi at home!
They told me iMessage doesn't use a lot of data it's more apps - social media apps etc
When your not on the Internet I suggest you go into settings, general, cellular? Then turn off cellular data and 3G (if you don't already do this)
This uses battery life very quickly and data…
When you need the Internet turn it on:3 but when I'm out and not using Wi-Fi I just use my free text rather than iMessage

Try using different browser… Safari eats lot of data…
try opera mini.

  • Unknown data usage on iPhone 4S? My family and I all have smartphones (all iPhones except one) and on our phone bill, it says that we're already at 6.7 GB, in 15 days… Looking further into it, I noticed that on each phone, data was being used every hour. Like anywhere between 1 and 19, 000 KB being used exactly every hour. Like 3 KB at 1:49, 15 KB at 2:49, 7 KB at 3:49 in the morning. KB's aren't a lot, but when you have 6 devices using KB's every hour, it really adds up.
  • Under settings on my iPhone, does the data usage include Wi-Fi usage? Because its stating a ridiculous amount and I've had my data off… And my Wi-Fi on. Does the total of data include the amount of Internet I'm using when on Wi-Fi? I'm so confused
  • Should I Just Cut Off My $59.99 Cable Internet Bill and Get Unlimited Data for My iPhone 6? Sounds like a good plan; save an extra $60 bucks a month. I could use the phone as a hotspot. Also, I said should I cut off my cable Internet. Means I still have cable Internet.
  • Reuse T-Mobile cut-to-use-for iPhone SIM card back to regular T-Mobile phone? Is that possible? My SIM card has been cut to fit on iPhone but I'm going to sell it next month to go back to regular T-Mobile phone. I still have the cutout piece from original T-Mobile SIM Card. Can I re-attach micro SIM to original T-Mobile card and use it on new T-Mobile phone, or would I have to buy the new SIM card and activate it again on pay-as-go-plan?
