How to delete songs of itunes?

Okay, so I use to use frostwire to download songs, but then the songs started coming out wrong, and I realized it made my computer a lot slower. So I deleted frostwire off my computer, and I went and bought a lot of songs. And I tried syncing my new iphone, and all of the new songs downloaded but the old ones off of frostwire didn't, so I figured its because I deleted it, so it doesn't matter, but I wanna delete them off my itunes. Anyway I can do it all at once without deleting the new ones, I mean I know how to do it one by one, but theirs like over 5 hours of old songs so that would take a while.

WOW. Ever heard of the delete button? Yes? Well then PRESS IT.

Highlight the songs you want to get rid of, and right click it. There should be a drop down menu and one of them will say delete. Or highlight many songs and do the same. Or highlight a song and hit backspace. A message should pop up to all of these and say, "Are you sure you want to delete (#ofsongs) songs?"

Go to your iTunes library and go to the songs you don't want and click the mouse and press Ctrl (if you have a PC) or Command (if you have a Mac) you can do a couple at a time then click delete on your computer

But it won't let delete it. It won't even let me uncheck my music. I've synched it so many times. I think I know what to do, i've just forgotten how to get there. How do you find the "manually manage songs" part? Because I probably don't have checked or whatever.
