How to delete the pre-loaded music that came with my iPhone 5s?

There's a bunch of crappy old school music that came with my new iPhone 5s and I can't delete it. It has a cloud icon next to it and I've tried downloading then deleting and it ends up back on my phone.

I have no idea how it appeared, but try deleting it. Swipe right to left on the song and a delete option comes. But you will have to delete each song individually!
The other option is you can back up your phone to itunes on your pc/mac. Then all your songs should appear in itunes. Select all and delete the songs you don't want on your phone from itunes. An option will come saying something like 'these songs will no longer be available on any of your ipod/iphone/ipad' so choose 'OK'. Then backup your phone again and the songs should go.

I don't think your phone is new if it can with music on it already!

Are you sure it is new?

It's not preloaded music, it's music that's on iTunes and not on your phone. To get rid of it you go in to the settings, go to music, and then turn off "show all music."

The cloud icon means it is already deleted but still available in the cloud. You could turn off the ability to see them in the Settings app.
