How to develope apps for Apple?
My nephew wants to write apps for the ipad, iphone, etc. He is very smart and can pick up new software in no time. I'm also interested in this. We want to develop apps and have some great ideas but I'm not sure how to get started. I have a few questions if anybody could help me I would greatly appreciate it.
Btw, I'm familiar with html. I have designed websites and written computer programs using the html and Visual Basic.
1. Can I write apps on a Windows based computer? From what I have found researching I need a Mac.
2. Can I download the software to my ipad and write the apps from there?
3. What is the exact software I need to download in order to write apps. I have found a couple of different sites that say "this is what you need - download me" and they are different.

1) No, you can't develop Apple software without running OSX. It is, however possible to run OSX on intel machines; this is generally referred to as a hackintosh,
2) An iPad or any other tablet is not suited for development.

- When i backup my Itunes. Does it save my apps and the memory in my apps? I have to backup my Iphone 4 to Itunes because i'm afraid it's going to break again. I don't want to lose my information in my apps. Cause i have a music app with over 300 songs and i don't want to lose them and have to re download them? Any help
- ITunes on Apps tab Says Install on Some Apps? I have a couple apps on my iTunes that say Install instead of the usual Remove. I've noted that these apps are the apps that I've had and then deleted, but not all of my deleted apps are on there. How do I remove these apps from my iPhone's iTunes? On iTunes 11, right click --> delete does not show up. On iTunes 11, going to the library and manually deleting them doesn't work either.
- IPhone 4S deleted all apps even apple apps? Last night my phone was freezing up so I turned it off and back on and when it restarted I had no messaging, phone, settings, iTunes, App Store, etc and I've turned it on and off and reset it several times. When I get a text I can see that I got it but when I click on it nothing happens I can't view the message.
- Iphone 3gs apps can't download apps? I've been trying to download apps like tumblr and bbm on my iphone 3gs but it keeps saying that this app is incompatible with this iphone do you know anything i could to download it/ please help
