How to disable Wi-Fi from certain devices at night?

I want my children's iphones to loose access to Wi-Fi at 10pm every night so they can get enough sleep, but i want the Wi-Fi to keep working for my devices. Is there a way to do this on their phones?

Yes. You have to go into your router and find the area that have a mac filter list. Add the devices to the mac filter list then add access times/denial times as wanted. Some router's are different, so you need to google your router and make sure yours will support what you are wanting.

Take the phone off them and give it to them in the morning?

How you do this depends on your wireless router and it's features.

The basic steps are:
1. Obtain the MAC Addresses of the phones you want to block at a certain time. For iOS devices, go to Settings>General>About>Wi-Fi Address
2. Log into your wireless router, and look for something like "Access Restrictions", "Parental Controls" or similar.
3. Type in the Mac Addresses of the phones and set any rules, like no Internet access after 10PM on whatever days you want.
4. Save your settings, and it should work.

If you can't find any features like this, then you'll have to buy a Wi-Fi router that does have them.

And I don't think that there's a way to restrict access on the phone itself, so you have to log into your router.

Take their phones away from them. That will work.

Some routers have "parental controls" which allow disabling things like Wi-Fi at certain times (or only for certain devices). If your router does not have this option, then you have to buy a router that does, then use it…

The easiest thing to do would be to take control of their phones at 10PM and tell them they'll get them back in the morning. No easier way than that!

Block their Wi-Fi mac addresses from the Wi-Fi router settings. Also, you could just f off and let them live their life and make their own mistakes.

  • Wi-Fi works for certain devices? For the past 3 or so days I have not been able to use Wi-Fi on my iPhone 5 in my bedroom. All other devices (laptop(s), vita, family phones) all connect to Wi-Fi as does my iPhone when I'm closer to the router. Why does my iPhone Wi-Fi only work if I'm close to the router? I have had this phone for almost 2 years and I have never had this issue before.
  • Why won't Facebook let me move certain photos to certain albums? I want to move certain photos to certain albums and when I click on "edit album" then i hit this arrow button on the picture and when i hit "move to another album" it gave me an option of 2-3 albums to put the picture into. What should I do? The picture i have in the album was from my iPhone that i currently don't have anymore and that's the last picture of it! Please help me! I don't wanna erase the album or any other!
  • Unable to connect to iTunes on certain devices? When I try to connect to my iTunes account on my iPod or my PC, it doesn't work. On the PC, it gives me error message 50 and says a network connection can't be established. On the iPod it just says "can't connect to iTunes store". I tried to connect my other iPhone and my iPad to the same account, and they worked fine. I know my internet is working. What's the problem and how do I fix it?
