How to download Whatsapp without receiving the SMS code?

I'm studying abroad and can't receive normal text messages on my iPhone. I can only receive iMessages. So how can I download Whatsapp if I can't enter the SMS that they're trying to send?

  • Whatsapp hasn't sent me confirmation code? Whatsapp hasn't sent me the confirmation code. I've sent my email address to whatsapp's automated SMS number and it hasn't emailed me. It's been over two days. I also tried calling them at a different number where a machine is supposed to give me the code but the call won't go through. What can I do? Ps I'm from Mexico and I'm trying to activate it on my iPhone 5
