How to edit YouTube videos on my iPhone using iMovie app, but filmed on my camcorder?
I want to film or my camcorder but then I want to edit on my iPhone. How can transfer the video files to my iPhone?
IMovie for iOS likes to deal with legitimate MP4 files.
If your camcorder does not record MP4 files, then something needs to convert them to MP4 files first. That means transferring the video clips to a computer and using a transcoder like Handbrake from www.handbrake.fr or MPEG Streamclip from www.squared5.com to transcode the files to legit MP4 files. After the conversion, you can get the MP4 files into iPhoto or iTunes and synch with the iPhone or send them up to your iCloud account. In iMove, you can select the videos from those sources.
Another method has you emailing short clips to yourself from the computer - then getting the email attachments by accessing your email from the iPhone.
Since we don't know which computer or camcorder or iPhone version, we have no way to know if you can even consider doing this without a computer… Probably not possible… Remember, the iPhone (and All smartphones) is a PHONE. Everything else is an add-on convenience feature. The iPhone is a poor replacement for a full-featured, computer-based, video editor… But is a fine feature for video captured by the iPhone…
Come to think of it, if you connect the camcorder to a TV and playback the video… Mount the iPhone to a tripod or other steadying device and record the TV's video & audio. If it is a flatscreen tv and if you have the framing of the video just right, it should look fine for a small screen - but once that video is put on a large screen, it won't look so good.
You'd have to do so through iTunes, but it would probably make more sense to do this on a computer unless you want to use iMovie specific you'd have to have a Mac.

- IPhone 4- I can't watch videos on youtube or any other videos? On youtube it keeps on saying playback error or either that it loads way too long that I give up. I've cleared the cache. I'm not sure whether I have good connection or not but I guess that I do have good connection. Is there any way to fix this?
