How to erase data on my old iPhone so I could sell it?
So I bought a new iPhone and now I want to sell the old one on eBay, but I don't know how to erase all the data on my old one so that it doesn't affect my new one
First, go to Settings>iCloud>turn off Find My iPhone, and then log out of your Apple ID;
then go to Settings>General>About>Erase all Content & Settings
Just go into Settings, choose General, then scroll down to Reset and choose Erase All Content and Settings
- What will erase and sync erase on my iphone? I wanted to connect my iphone to a new computer but it says erase and sync, what will it erase? All of the contents or just music?
- If I erase and sync my iPhone 4 in the music library, will it erase my photos? I'm trying to add music to my iPhone 4 and when I go to sync just the music, it says 'erase and sync'. Will it delete my photos? If so, can I right click my iPhone and back it up so if it does delete my photos, I can just back it up?
- If I erase all settings + data on iPhone and set up as new iPhone? I recently sold my iPhone, before erasing all data and settings I was logged into my iCloud, when I setup the iPhone again I just put in any E-mail and password for iCloud, is they any possible way they will be able to access my iCloud if they were to log out of that account? Probably a stupid question but just want to be 100% sure.
- If I erase all my content and settings/data on my iPhone 4, will it erase my number too? I need to erase everything to make room for an update but for that I need 4.7 GB and I have 4.4 right now. I deleted and backed up everything I could but I for some reason can't delete my mail even if I sign out and I just can't lose my number
