How to fake a text message on an iPhone?

Now I don't need to know how to do it, I just want to know if its possible? Long story short my brothers being harassed my a girl. She creates fake conversations on her phone, so he says. Is it possible to copy and paste someone's number into the space where their name should be?

Yea all you have to do is change your name in your contacts to the person you're "texting" and text yourself. The messages come up in the conversation as both a sent and a received message so all you have to do is delete the duplicate messages you don't want to create a fake conversation

In my setting I have all the iMessage and everything turned on. Sometimes it will work whenever I text another iPhone but most of the time it won't. I have tried turning the phone off and back on.
