How to film youtube videos?

So i'm a 16 year old girl and i really want to start a youtube channel just for fun, i don't expect to get like a million subscribers or anything crazy i just have always wanted to do it, but today i tried to film a video on my iphone just for fun, i wasn't planning on posting it or anything, but i was so awkward and unnatural in the video, and it didn't seem like i was acting that way while filming it but looking back it my voice was like kind of shaky and i kept not looking at the camera and i was just really awkward and i feel like no one would watch my videos if they are like that. How can i not be like that in videos and film them and be natural and funny and light not all awkward and nervous? (i didn't feel nervous at all while filming this btw so it was really weird to me that i seemed like it in the video) any youtubers out there that have experienced similar problems and know how to fix it/any tips for starting a channel?

I guess the best tip is just do it for yourself not the viewers. I know it may sound weird but it actually really works. Just as if you would act alone in your room.

I'm not a YouTuber, but I do know what you need.

What you'll need:
- A camera
- A cell phone
- Social media accounts (Such as Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, etc.)
- A laptop or computer
- Editing software

You'll need the camera to record your videos. Before recording, go over your script (If you have one) Once more and recite it to yourself. If you're new to this whole new YouTubing concept, just take a few deep breaths in and out before recording.

You'll need a cellphone to manage your social media accounts, and to also record your videos (If you don't have a camera). Use the back facing camera (The one on the back of your cellphone with the flash), as it usually will have better quality.

You'll need social media accounts to keep in contact with your fans.

You'll need a laptop or computer to edit your videos. But first, before even getting started, make sure that you've downloaded some kind of editing software on your laptop or computer, such as Final Cut Pro.

Remember:
- When you're recording your videos, try to look at the camera at least 50% of the time, or more
- Act lively and exited that you're doing it, don't be sad and groggy

And also, I'd absolutely subscribe to your New YouTube Channel, I could be one of your first few Subscribers!

You don't have to upload the first attempt. Just keep doing it over until you are happy with it. Basically just practice, practice, practice

  • Would Apple Sue Me If I Use An Iphone In A Film? So like, if someone pulls out an Iphone in a movie and starts talking on it would Apple get mad at me for that?
  • Rugged/waterproof iPhone 5 case compatible with screen protector/back film protector? Was wondering if there's any iPhone 5 case out there that is compatible with a screen protector and/or a back film protector on the iPhone itself? I understand cases like Lifeproof need you to remove your screen protector so it can maintain it's waterproof abilities. Was just looking for a case that can work both ways.
  • Is this a feasable way to film? Giving myself a project of creating a film piece for uni that must last at least 1 hour… The twist is that I'm only allowed to use a non-conventional method of filiming or in other words I can only use Iphone/Ipod touch or a smartphone camera. My plot doesn't require any special effects or camera "trickery".Is this "doable"
  • Is it weird to film skateboarding videos with an iphone? Skate filmers always use these big hd camcorders, but is there anything wrong with using an iphone? I mean, its still 1080p, and I have a fisheye for my iphone. Is it normal to film skate vids with an iphone? Do people do that? Or should I use a camcorder. Bc I honestly don't see any difference
