How to find out which iphone models have a SIM card slot?
I'm trying to buy a used iphone 4 or 4S from ebay, I know that I need to pick and iphone that has a SIM card slot and I know that some iphones are locked to their carrier and do not have a sim card at all. Is there somewhere that I can look up the model numbers or something so I can make sure I get the right one?

If the carrier is GSM, the phone uses a sim card.AT&T and T-Mobile are GSM carriers. Sprint and Verizon use CDMA.
1. Locate the Micro SIM tray on your iPhone. On iPhone 4 models, it is located on the right side edge of the device. On iPhone 3GS and earlier models, the tray is on the top edge. The tray is flush with the iPhone case and is a long oval shape with a hole at one end.
2. Insert a SIM eject tool or one end of a thin paper clip into the hole on the Micro SIM tray and push straight in to pop out the tray.
3. Gently remove the MIcro SIM card and push the tray back into the iPhone case.
The Sprint & Verizon models should be avoided in the case of the 4. The 4S is a GSM/CDMA phone which would work on either, but to play it safe look for AT&T models of those as well.
- Iphone does not have a sim card slot? I bought an I phone 4 by Verizon. I have T Mobile so my friend would have been able to unlock it and what not. The problem is, it does NOT have a sim card slot AT ALL. Is there any way i can use the phone without selling it? *Maybe go by the Verizon or T Mobile store? *seriously I need help with this. Because I really want to use it and if I can't at all please help me. Or let me know.

I wanted to switch to straight talk but I seem to not be able to find the slot to put the sim card in? My last iphone 4 had it on the right side and I'd have to put a key thing in it and the card would pop out! But this phone doesn't have the little hole thing or sim card thing on it. How do I activate it with Straight Talk?
- How to take stuck sim card without the tray out of the slot of iphone 5? I just got the iphone 5 as a present and being used to other phones I inserted the sim-card without paying much attention to the tray. Now it's, of course, stuck inside. Any suggestions on how to get it out? I have tried the clip provided by apple in combination with a paperclip, but it doesn't seem to be working. I'm not putting much pressure, nor being too harsh out of fear of scratching anything inside the phone.
