How to fix dimmed Wi-Fi on iphone 4s?

I have an iPhone 4s, which is up to date at IOS 7, and is restored. But my Wi-Fi still seems to be dimmed. I restored the network settings, and i let it die. And nothing happened. I was wondering if there was any possible way then having to pay to get it fixed at apple. I would really appreciate it.

Sad to say, this is a hardware problem that is why even if your OS is updated and you have already restored network settings, it still won't work. The best thing is to have it repaired. If your phone is still under warranty, Apple can replace your unit as this is a common problem among 4S users. If it's already out of warranty, you can try putting your phone in a ziplock bag, let all air out, then place it in the freezer for 10 minutes. No kidding!
