How to fix maps app on iphone 5?

I'm having the same problem while using maps and its really starting to piss me off. When I drop a pin on a certain location like my house, and later try to get maps to direct me to house from another location it says my home is my current location. I know this is confusing, but basically when it says "current location to destination" I select home as my destination, and it says my home is my current location. This has happened numerous times and it is very annoying! If someone could help me with that, that would be great!

If all you're trying to do is get directions home, then all you need to do is save your home address in contacts and then it should also be saved in maps. If this doesn't work, when your at home, click on the blue dot that represents your location, and then bookmark it and save it as home. Then you will be able to tell Siri, "Take me home." and she will be able to get your directions. If you want to go to a pin, all you need to do is drop the pin where you want to go and chose "directions to here" and then it will take you there from your current location. If all else fails, download google maps which was placed on the app store a couple of weeks ago.
