How to fix my iphone 4 (water damage)?

My iphone4 got wet overnight while it was pugged into the wall charging. This morning when i saw it i dried it all off and the whole phone itself works fine… It just won't charge. I can text, call, everything and it all works perfectly, it just it won't charge when i plug it in. I'm not sure what to do bc i don't want to pay $200 for a newly repaired iphone when it works fine overall. Its just the charging aspect of it thats messsed up. It seems the iphone charger cable is fried and i'm scared the inside might be as well too considering it was plugged in the whole night. What do i do? Any tips?

Put it in rice it will absorb the water leave it there for a day

Maybe you're chargers messed up? Or if you got water in the inside of you're phone the phone isn't going to charge you most likely will need to get a new phone

Try a different charger & cable. Cross your fingers.

Yes rice

If you have another charger you should try to see if it works if you don't have another charger you can go out and by a cord at Walmart or somewhere and plug it in to the wall piece if it doesn't work then the inside of your iPhone may be fried

Giving your iPhone 4 more juice electrically with potential liquid/ water damage was not a good idea. The water (since it is such a good conductor) will create a short between two circuits and could have fried your iphone 4 logic board. That's the most expensive part of the phone! Anyway you don't need to pay 200+ to get it fixed. Use XpressFix for iPhone 4 repairs.

  • Iphone water indicators not pink, still possible water damage? Hypothetically, if you got your iphone 4s wet, but the water indicators are not triggered at all, is it still possible the phone has water damage on the inside that apple would find if they took it apart?
  • Iphone submerged in water, logic board has water damage? My phone was under water for 10 sec. Atleast and in my wet pocket for about 2 minutes. Led wouldnt turn off and power / lock button didn't work… Put it in rice and two days later i charge it apple logo pops up then writing pops up above the apple logo. Will the guy taking my phone to clean it out and try to fix it need my passcode? And will my contacts, apps, photos, music, internet history still be on my phone? Like when he fixes it turns and on and stuff?
  • I dropped my Iphone in water - no water damage showing on indicator? Here is the situation. I dropped my Iphone 5 in the toilet (I hadn't peed yet so all good there). Immediately switched it off, dried it and put it in a bag of rice. This was at about 6 p.m yesterday. This morning without turning it on I opened up the sim compartment to check the circle for water damage (checked online and apparently this is where to check for water damage). The indicator was white. It is back in the rice but I was wondering - when you think it will be ok to turn back on?
  • How to fix water damage on Iphone 5? I know it will probably still be screwed but any tips other then just rice? I have insurance on it so I'll probably get a new one but the deductible is $180.
