How to fix Network Timeouts for Gaming Consoles?
My computers connection never drops. My Iphone, Roku, etc never drops.
My Xbox and PS3 both frequently get dropped due to network time outs.
I've tried pretty much everything.
I've power cycled, hard reset, port forwarded, DMZ'd the connection.
I've cleared all cache, history etc on the browsers as well as the gaming consoles.
I've run speedtest numerous times and on average I would say I get about 35mbps as my download speed and 4.0 mbps for my upload speed.
I think the lowest I've ever seen it is 25 for download and 2 for upload.
I've called my ISP, had a technician come check it out, and this network timeout issue is still on going.
Anybody have a problem where only the gaming consoles are seemingly affected.
I have tried both Wired and Wireless Connections and both have had network timeouts multiple times daily.
Added (1). Forgot to mention, I purchased a new router.
Speeds are fine, just seems to randomly drop.
It may be a problem with your router/adapter (If you are using Clearwire, then that is your problem).
Ventilation could be an issue the connection chip heats up, so Point a fan at it to cool it off
- Wi-Fi on iPhone keeps saying unable to join network (my network name)? How can I fix this! It's been like this for a week but it works on my laptop fine. I tried unplugging it for a few seconds, I tried resetting network settings, I tried turning my phone off then on again, and I know I'm typing it right. I even typed it in upper case AND lower case. Does anyone know how I can fix this?
