How to fix purple-ish tint when taking night photos with iphone?

I have an iphone 5s and I just noticed how it struggles when taking night phots. There's this weird purple / yellowish tint when I take photos with flash in a dark environment. Got any tips?

Shoot under ideal lighting conditions only

My sincere tip is to use a real camera, not a telephone to take photos. Sorry, but the camera function in ANY phone is a cheap piece of garbage. It is there only for a convenience and so people can slap all manner of silly "apps" onto photos and dump them on inane sites such as Instagram. A dark environment and / or using the flash on a phone are the absolute worse conditions in which you can try to get a decent picture with these devices. You simply do not have the proper tool for the job, no matter what manufacturers and sellers may try to BS you with otherwise.

You will need a camera that allows more manual control and that has a better sensor. Surprise, the BS the phone manufacturers feed you on their commercials is just that, BS. They can take decent snapshots, but more advanced shooting will require something better designed for it. I almost died laughing when I heard that someone said they can take just as good of photos with an iPad as one could with a DSLR.

  • Why is the battery on my Iphone 5 weak and half of the screen has a blue tint? The battery doesn't even last a 1 day! And i'm not actively using it either. After holding the cell between my shoulder and ear for half an hour the right part of screen has a dark blue tint and it doesn't go away. WTF
  • Purple flare in my iPhone 5's camera. Is this normal? I got my iPhone 2 days ago and las night I was trying to capture the light of my room and after I took the picture, I saw that there was a purple flare in the picture. It's not that dark but still, I'm worried. I only 1 week for its warranty so tell me iPhone 5 users, is this normal?
