How to fix the lcd on my iphone 4s?
So the day after school ended last year I got an iphone 4s! Well I have dropped it many times but it still works. So on sunday I went to my cousins baby shower and I dropped it. When I picked it up the front screen cracked and the screen went white. My brother told me it was the lcd light that needed to be fixed… My parents don't wanna buy me a new phone because it would cost to much… I really want this phone because many people texted me after I broke it. Is there anything that I can do without it costing a lot? Also! I can still unlock it, make calls, and take pictures, and do anything else. I just can't really see it! I only see my screen kinda changing colors
Here is some list of service for your cracked LCD on your iphone 4s.

You can go on ebay and buy a new lcd with a screen and replace yourself but make sure you get the proper tools. They run roughly between 15-40$.
A lot of repair work, shattered glass, dead/popped ribbon (rainbow is truly broken while all-white is likely popped ribbon cable)
Your first concern is txt on that, cracked glass might still touch and you done that OK. I've got 2 of them here, shards fell away is truly dead. Had this been Android I know for sure it is retrievable, iOS not so much.
Repairs and replacement of such may run you about $100+ that get you a locked, low-grade, Retina-style Android. I see no other way about it.
The 4s is one of the harder ones to fix. The 3 series were opened for repair by first removing the screen. Starting with the 4 series they are taken apart stating with the back working through removal of everything from the case to get to the screen.
There are kits with instructions and the tools needed to do it yourself. (if you are good at working with very tiny parts and understand how electrical parts work together.) is a link to the video done by iCracked that shows exactly what needs to be done and how to do it for replacing a broken 4s screen.
http://www.directfix.com/product/IP-2504.html is the actual replacement screen from one vendor to give an idea of cost. (same cost in black or white) You would also need the $10 tool kit mentioned on the same link as "Recommended Items".
Depending on where you are, there are many repair shops that can do the work for you for much less than Apple will charge. (Apple charges $200 to replace a broken screen) The iCracked service will come to you wherever you wish and repair it for about $100 while you wait. Other shops may do it for a bit less, but will make you take it to them and probably leave it for a day or more.
- Will a new LCD Screen be enough to fix my phone? I have an iPhone 6s. I dropped it the other night and it was still playing music just the screen went black. I turned off the phone and ordered a new Screen replacement. Now because the phone was still working after the screen went black, does that mean when i change the screen will everything work as it did before?
- What's an LCD for an iPhone 3G? I cracks my iPhone and apparently need a digitalizer for the screen even though it still works perfectly. I've heard I need an LCD too, but I have no freaking idea what that is. How much would a screen, digitalizer, and possibly LCD cost together? Thanks for the answer, but obviously I have a higher education than you since I'm able to use proper punctuation. And to answer your question, no, I'm not dumb; I'm just looking for an honest answer, ***.
