How to fix the text message ringer on my iPhone 5?

Hi! My iPhone 5 is having problems ringing when I get a text message, it just vibrates and when I go to the settings and choose a ringer it doesn't ring no matter which one I choose? What is it and how can I fix it!

Make sure the Vibrate option is off for your text messages
1) Go to Settings
2) Go to Sounds
3) Make sure Vibrate is off for both options (Vibrate on Ring and Vibrate on Silent"

  • Will my message be delivered if sent as text message on iphone? My friend said that she was having phone problems earlier today. My message was being sent as an imessage, but I guess she wasn't receiving everyone of them, just getting the notifications that they were sent to her but she couldn't read them. I then responded to her, but it was sent as a text message this time and i have gotten no response. I'm not as much concerned about her responding or not, I just want to know if she will receive the message.
