How to fix water damage for iphone 4s?
I have a couple of questions about this.
1.is there a window time period i need to get it fix by before fixing it becomes futile?
2.is it easy to do?
3. Can i do it myself?
please and thank you
Unfortunatally there are limited things you will be able to do to fix it yourself, and for cheap. However there's a company called digiexpress that fixes apple products with an up front diagnosis fee of 25$, plus the amount of money it was cost to buy new parts for it, from them.
It all depends on what point after the incident you are talking about.
If you have already tried to turn it on and it didn't turn on, it is likely that you could have shorted out circuitry in it and now will have to spend some money to get it fixed.
If you haven't yet turned it on, put in in a bowl of uncooked rice. The rice will draw out any moisture in the phone. Let it sit in the rice overnight.
WATER? Um rice put that phone in rice As soon as possible… Its happened to many of my phones and laptops and every eletronic… Get it in rice!
- Iphone water indicators not pink, still possible water damage? Hypothetically, if you got your iphone 4s wet, but the water indicators are not triggered at all, is it still possible the phone has water damage on the inside that apple would find if they took it apart?
- Iphone submerged in water, logic board has water damage? My phone was under water for 10 sec. Atleast and in my wet pocket for about 2 minutes. Led wouldnt turn off and power / lock button didn't work… Put it in rice and two days later i charge it apple logo pops up then writing pops up above the apple logo. Will the guy taking my phone to clean it out and try to fix it need my passcode? And will my contacts, apps, photos, music, internet history still be on my phone? Like when he fixes it turns and on and stuff?
- I dropped my Iphone in water - no water damage showing on indicator? Here is the situation. I dropped my Iphone 5 in the toilet (I hadn't peed yet so all good there). Immediately switched it off, dried it and put it in a bag of rice. This was at about 6 p.m yesterday. This morning without turning it on I opened up the sim compartment to check the circle for water damage (checked online and apparently this is where to check for water damage). The indicator was white. It is back in the rice but I was wondering - when you think it will be ok to turn back on?
- How to fix water damage on Iphone 5? I know it will probably still be screwed but any tips other then just rice? I have insurance on it so I'll probably get a new one but the deductible is $180.
