How to fix water damage on iPhone 5S?

Today when I came back from my pilates lesson, i was walking to the shops, then I went to get my water from my polar gear bag I noticed my bag was wet (leakage from my water bottle) my phone's case was a bit wet. When I took my phone out, tonight I dried it up with a towel, used a hairdryer, I also saw some splurges on my iphone screen, when I turned my phone, I can't use the fingerprint ID for some reason! Now I'm trying to charge my phone but it kept showing low battery and charge the phone sign, so my iPhone can't charge either. I took out the simcard and placed it back in its place, don't hve a screwdriver to remove the back of the phone, I've never used uncooked rice in a sandwich bag for my phone yet, or silica gels. I've also shaken the phone tonight to get rid of any excess water, now I've placed my phone in an empty sandwich bag and placed it inside my chest of drawers, please help? Can someone give me any solutions on how to fix water damage? How long will water damage dry up?

It's probably history. But if there's even a small chance it will dry out, get it out of the sandwich bag so it can get some air!

  • Iphone water indicators not pink, still possible water damage? Hypothetically, if you got your iphone 4s wet, but the water indicators are not triggered at all, is it still possible the phone has water damage on the inside that apple would find if they took it apart?
  • Iphone submerged in water, logic board has water damage? My phone was under water for 10 sec. Atleast and in my wet pocket for about 2 minutes. Led wouldnt turn off and power / lock button didn't work… Put it in rice and two days later i charge it apple logo pops up then writing pops up above the apple logo. Will the guy taking my phone to clean it out and try to fix it need my passcode? And will my contacts, apps, photos, music, internet history still be on my phone? Like when he fixes it turns and on and stuff?
  • I dropped my Iphone in water - no water damage showing on indicator? Here is the situation. I dropped my Iphone 5 in the toilet (I hadn't peed yet so all good there). Immediately switched it off, dried it and put it in a bag of rice. This was at about 6 p.m yesterday. This morning without turning it on I opened up the sim compartment to check the circle for water damage (checked online and apparently this is where to check for water damage). The indicator was white. It is back in the rice but I was wondering - when you think it will be ok to turn back on?
  • How to fix water damage on Iphone 5? I know it will probably still be screwed but any tips other then just rice? I have insurance on it so I'll probably get a new one but the deductible is $180.
