How to free up space on iPhone? - 1

I'm trying to update to iOS 7 but I don't have enough free storage. I have 496 MB used on camera roll, 61 MB used on an app (free music) and no other apps, no music, no videos etc, that is literally all that's on my phone yet it says I only have 2.4 GB free when I need 3.7. Any ideas how I can free up some space?

Backup your phone to your computer then uncheck all your data, sync your iphone, after ios7 has installed recheck your data on iTunes and resync your phone

I think if you plug it in to itunes you won't need to bother freeing space as it downloads it on your computer

If this is the phone's internal storage it may be able to have an sd card or something of 4, 8, 16 or more gb of storage. Ask in an Apple shop. Most phones can be connected by wire to a copmputer be it a mac and the files on the sd card can be copied to it, whether they can also be moved to it I do not know. But you would be able to delete them once you've used the computer to make some back ups onto a usb pen or cd's etc. I don't know if the phone's internal storage can be moved to the sd card.Sd cards are removable so instead of deleting things from them you can keep them as a back up of all your files. Every time you buy a new one you get 8 gb or so of storage for everything you do on the phone including downloading apps, taking photos and videos, downloading music, saving webpages and things you have written on it etc. So google for Apple shops in your area or for any big stores that sell the phone and see what they have. The Apple accessories might sell the connector wire. Google for these words using variations of "Apple" +"iPhone" +"Storage" etc and the model number, card, connect, etc.
