How to get a 4.0 in the 10th grade! Calling all nerds

HI! So my friend and I made a deal that if I made all A's then he would buy me an iphone 5 and I really need it/want it. But thats not the only reason why! My grades were horrible freshman year and I've been on summer for 2 weeks now. And I play volleyball and I'm scholarship material but my grades are so bad. Anyway I have always tried so hard to get all A's but its so hard for me! And math is really hard for me. I'm taking honors english and chemistry and geometry. Please tell me how. Also I get home late tuesdays and thursdays because of volleyball practice and I like my sleep.

All you need to do is study and copy paste the material in your brain on to your paper. Maybe you need to drop out of honors classes if you can't make the grades.

1.Go to class everyday and actually pay attention, take notes, etc. And make sure you understand the material been presented each day.
2. If you have not grasped material meet with your teacher and ask for assistance…
3. Don't fall behind on any assignments.
4. Study at least a week before the quizzes, tests, midterms, if possible… If you do it a day before your chances to do good decrease!

I was in the same position as you. I had bad grades, had honors classes, badly wanted the iphone, and played volleyball tenth grade year. You should try dropping an honors class, it's better to take in what you can handle than suffocate on what you can't. Just like in volleyball, there's no time to procrastinate. If you want sleep, do your things on time! Also, you can spare some time after school getting tutored, ask your teachers for help or someone really reliable to teach you. Being a scholar-athlete means you do what everyone else does plus more because you dedicate to your sport. Don't let your grades stop you from playing!
