How to get an unopened new iphone inside its box through customs with being charged?
So i wanna get an iphone from dubai and i don't wanna open it there so is there anyway i can get it through customs without being charged or fined? And i would have bought it with my own money and i would have a bill so why would i even be charged?
The reasons for customs is so people don't import illegal items and to collect taxes on legal ones; people try to buy something outside of a country to avoid the taxes. You are legally obliged to declare it, otherwise you risk a fine. You don't say which customs you are going through, but if it's the US the allowance for purchases is $800 total (less than the 64GB model in the UAE Apple Store and just under the amount for the 32GB model).
What you do is up to you. But that's why you may have to pay duty.
