How to get an update on my iphone?
I have an iphone 3gs that still has an old software version 4.1(8B117) but there's an updated version 4.3 out there, and when I hit update button its tells me that everything is up to date, but I know that it's not. How can I get 4.3 version?
Ensure you have the latest version of itunes, and that your phone is 3GS
Connect and everything should be done.
If you've just realised you have the 3G, then you need to do the following instead:
Make sure that your phone is backed up to your computer, everything. (contacts, files… The lot)
Insure your phone
Take it into the back garden and smash it hard with a 14lb sledgehammer.
Explain to the insurance people that it fell out of your pocket whilst cycling and went under the wheels of a truck that was trying to run you down at the time.
get a new phone with updates software, full warranty etc
Hopefully, when they send you the new phone, it'll be one that will allow 4.3
Call your contract provider and simply ask them to do it on your computer using the software and or go to itunes choose iphone and check the update
3GS probably can't update to some versions as the hardware is roughly 5 years old now.
- Whenever there's an iPhone update, do you update it? I don't, I still have the old (iPhone) emoji keyboard and although I'm tempted to install IOS 8.4 I'm a little hesitant b/c 1)I don't know if it's worth it. 2) My storage is almost full. I have an iPhone 5c. What about you? Do you install new IOS's? Will you be installing iOS 8.4 if you haven't already?
- Update stopped during ios update own iphone now phones broke I connected my iPhone 4 to my computer (iTunes) and started doing the update through iTunes. About five minutes into the update iTunes in my computer stops working, causing the update to of course stop working. Now my phone will not turn on. On the screen it is black with the 'charge symbol' as if it were low on battery and an iTunes symbol. I have tried turning my phone off and on, but of course it didn't respond.
- New iOS 6 update, find my iPhone update? I don't like the new find my iPhone update is there a way to change back to the old find my iPhone but keep the new update? It's not showing locations like it used to and won't even how me major boroughs like Croydon. Streets are difficult to see, much smaller picture. General *** compared to the older version.
- Is the iOS 6.1 update on iPhone 3 safe to update? On my first iPhone there were problems, and the update didn't help it wiped out everything and among other things had to get a new iPhone. The iPhone I have now works, so should I risk this update? It's a 3GS.
