How to get iMessage to work on my iPhone 4S?

Ok so yesterday my iMessage stopped working. I went to settings to check and see of it was on and it is, but it only sends texts to people even with iMessage. How can I get it to work, or is it down or something?

I've run into this problem before myself. There's a couple of POSSIBLE solutions for your situation. You may have to go to Settings > Messages > iMessages (turn to off) > Turn Phone Off > Turn Back On > Turn iMessages on. If that doesn't work, you may have to put your phone into DFU mode (Device Firmware Upgrade". I will put a link in my source on how). Then you just restore from there. You may also want to turn your Wi-Fi off.
