How to get Internet on iPhone 4S?

Stupid question I know. I know you can put Wi-Fi on, but how do you get it on altogether, once you have topped your phone up? Does come on automatically or is there a number you have to text or ring? I'm on T-Mobile btw. No longer on contract either. Hope someone can help.

I just go to settings then Wi-Fi and turn it on?

If you are talking about Wi-Fi. You go into settings & click Wi-Fi. Make sure it's on & let it search for a Wi-Fi connection. Click on the Wi-Fi you would like to use & if you have a password to your Wi-Fi then you will need to input that in. It should connect and have Wi-Fi signal bars next to your tmobile sign at the top left corner.

If you are talking about Internet in general like 4g or lte then you will need to have Internet to begin with & the correct settings which would be under settings > general > cellular > cellular data network

Please note Wi-Fi is free and 4g/lte needs to be paid for.

Wi-Fi - Settings>Wi-Fi>Turn On>Choose your Wi-Fi network

Cellular - General>Cellular>Cellular Data> Switch On

  • Why does my iPhone still charge for Internet even when I'm not using Internet? So, I recently got a pay monthly plan with my new iPhone 4s. When i'm out and about I'm usually updating my twitter and Facebook account. But, when I'm put my phone down, 3G still says I'm using it and charging me. So do I have to turn it off when i'm finished? Or is there a much easier way?
  • Why can't i get on the internet on my iphone 3gs? I just got it yesterday and it just says sorry no internet acces or it sits there and loads forever and i can't get on the app store. Frustraiting! I have bars and it says AT&T at the top of it like it should so why won't it work!
  • My Iphone is not letting me access the internet or internet based apps? I have an Iphone 5. Never had any issues but now it won't connect to the internet or any apps. It does the same thing it does when I have no service (just has that little circle symbol that means it's trying to get through). Orginally, I thought it must be a universal problem but everyone else has service and they are in the same location as me. Also I always use my phone here with no problems. I have tried turning it off and on again but nothing.
