How to get into my Gmail account?

I have a gmail account that I haven't used in a while, and I forgot everything about it! The only thing I know is my email. I don't know the password, or previous passwords, alternate email(s), nothing! How can I get back into it? I need to get back into it because I used that email for my iTunes account a while ago for my iPod & I want to transfer my apps to my iPhone but I can't unless my account is authorized.

If you don't have that info, I don't know of any way you can access (aside from some illegal hacking).

  • Why does gmail sign me out of my account every time I close my safari app on my iphone? This is a recent development and I'm starting to get really irritated. It started happening today after I cleared my history. Before today, I could close all my apps and when I opened them I would still be logged into my gmail account.
