How to get my iPhone 4 out of recovery mode without restoring and losing photos?

I tried downloading the newest software for my iPhone. The screen says connect to iTunes. Well when I do, it tells me the phone is in recovery mode and I must restore it to be able to use it. I do not want to lose all my photos, for I do not have iCloud and they are not backed up on my computer.

I have read that recboot is successful at getting the iPhone out of recovery mode. Well, I have tried it, it seems to temporarily work - my phone shows the apple logo but then quickly goes back to the connect to iTunes screen.

I do not know what to do, and I do not want to lose all of my pictures. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I had the same problem and i tried and tried to find a way but the closest i found was to hold the power and home button till the screen has an apple logo on it. But it doesn't work for me.
