How to get my iPhone 6 to remember a certain Wi-Fi network?
My router makes two Wi-Fi signals but for some reason one is weak and one is strong. My phone always automatically connects to the weaker one. Can I make the stronger one the preferred Wi-Fi to connect to somehow?
You won't be able to have a "preferred Wi-Fi" signal. It chooses the best signal, strength wise, so only option you have is basically forgetting the network you don't want.
I'm assuming that you have one of those smart Wi-Fi modems; I have one and love using the 5 GHz when I'm close to the modem because of the high frequency. Remember though, the higher the frequency the shorter the range.
When the IPhone Connects the to Weaker one, go to Settings-Wi-Fi-(WeakerOne, Click on the arrow)-Forget this Network
Voila
You can tell it to forget the network you don't want it to connect to.
- Wi-Fi on iPhone keeps saying unable to join network (my network name)? How can I fix this! It's been like this for a week but it works on my laptop fine. I tried unplugging it for a few seconds, I tried resetting network settings, I tried turning my phone off then on again, and I know I'm typing it right. I even typed it in upper case AND lower case. Does anyone know how I can fix this?
- Why won't my iphone 4 connect to a certain Wi-Fi network? I have tried countless numbers of times to connect to a certain Wi-Fi network but continue to receive the same message, "Unable to join… ". I have reset the network settings in my phone but it still doesn't work. Any suggestions?
- Why won't Facebook let me move certain photos to certain albums? I want to move certain photos to certain albums and when I click on "edit album" then i hit this arrow button on the picture and when i hit "move to another album" it gave me an option of 2-3 albums to put the picture into. What should I do? The picture i have in the album was from my iPhone that i currently don't have anymore and that's the last picture of it! Please help me! I don't wanna erase the album or any other!
- What's the difference between off-network and on-network? I'm try to work out which is best for what I want out of the service. I want protection while on my iPhone 5 (both when connected via Wi-Fi and when roaming on 3/4G). Website with product details: http://www.umbrella.com/products/umbrella-security-features/
