How to get my iPhone apps to open?
I got an iPhone 3G from my uncle a little while ago, and I'm having a problem with the apps. They begin to load for about a second but then return to the home screen. I understand how for some of them, it's because they are for software higher than iOS 4.2.1 but others are compatible but still won't open. Any help appreciated.
Get back up of your iphone and then restore through itunes and then try. Hope it will work this time…
Quick fix: Try pressing and holding both the round home button and the top sleep button until you see the white apple in the middle of the screen. The release and let the phone reboot. This won't delete your stuff, but it will reset the phone.
But you need to bite the bullet, find a friend with a computer, hook up your phone, download iTunes, and upgrade the OS.
You might find some solution for some apps, etc.iOS 4 SHOULD still basically work, but you really, really need to upgrade that phone or you will have all sorts of problems. Once you suffer this upgrade the rest are just via Wi-Fi, so it really is a one time thing because iOS 4 didn't have Wi-Fi upgrading.
- Will my iPhone's alarm go off even when I have apps open? I'd like to fall asleep to a relaxing YouTube video but I want to make sure my alarm will still go off in the morning!
- NO APPS WILL OPEN ON JAILBROKEN IPHONE? I installed Flex 2 from Cydia and my friend installed a hack called Instagram: Instagram Followers and now every app won't open and I tried deleting Flex but it they won't open.
- My iPhone 3G apps keeps on closing everytime I open it. Why? I just recently added music to my iPhone using iTunes. Now, after I added all the music to my iPhone, I just then figured out that the games on my iPhone isn't functioning anymore. Not only the games but all the apps that I downloaded. What should I do with my iPhone now?
- My apps on my iPhone do not open, what can I do to fix this? They open for around a second, but then immediately close. I tried un-ticking the Sync Apps option on iTunes, I also tried restoring, resetting, signing in and out, deleting and re-installing apps and even downloading another app to try and resolve the issue. I've looked everywhere and found no answer. The iPhone is the 3G and was unlocked, but legitimately via iTunes.
