How to get old iPhone working?
I jave an old iPhone 1 and I want to get it working again. I do not want it to text or call, just a Wi-Fi enabled device. When I open it it says I need to put in a sim card and I do not have one, nor do I want to buy another one. Is it possible to open it? Any way I can do it is fine, including jailbreaking.
Take it to an Apple store to get assistance.
The only official way is to put in a SIM card to the carrier the iPhone is locked to (most likely AT&T).
However, I believe there's a process called "hacktivating". This allows you to bypass that requirement.

- Old iPhone with old sim card? Mum just got a new iPhone, so gave her old one to my sister. My sister did not have an appropriate sized sim card, so they guy at the store cut it down.
