How to get rid of other data on iPhone?
I have a 32 GB iPhone 5 and a 4th gen iPod Touch, and the space on both have been taken up by a BUNCH of "other" data. I don't want to delete any of my emails because I have many important ones. On my phone, I only have 300 photos and no videos or movies or anything. I do have a lot of voice memos on my phone. I only have 2.5 GB left on my phone. On my iPod, I only have a couple short videos and a couple voice memos, and I don't want to restore it because I have a lot of important messages on it that I don't want to be deleted. Please help; I've tried multiple things, but I still barely have any remaining space on both of these devices!
The "Other" section is all of the system files and cached content. There will ALWAYS be an "Other" section, it's just that as you use the phone, it will grow. To free up some space, restore your device.
- What is 'Other' storage on IPhone 4 and how to get rid of it? I have just over a gb worth of other storage i have tried wiping and restoring my iphone. I know there are some apps to view the 'other' but i don't want to pay for them, is there any free apps similar to this without jailbreak or any other ways to get rid of it?
- I'm trying to get rid of Other on iPhone 5? I know this is a tired question because no one can figure out how to truly remove the (5GB in my case) excess of "other" on the iPhone because it apparently might be due to corrupted files. I've tried everything I can find online to no avail. I really don't want to resolve to starting a new phone because I need my current photos, contacts and messages. Any suggestions?
- How to get rid of the other category in my iPhone's usage The "other" section is currently taking up 7.5GB of my iPhone's capacity (so ridiculous)! I've tried everything: deleting contacts, deleting conversations, deleting apps, and even RESTORING MY IPHONE. But it still is taking up basically half of my usage! Please someone tell me how I can get rid of, or at least drastically reduce, the "other" section.
- How to get rid of other space on iPhone? I've had my iPhone 4s for about half a year. I have this ungodly amount of that dreaded "other" space. Its taking up 8.3 GB of my phone and I have no idea how to get rid of it. Restoring does not help, I'm wondering if there's a way to hack into it and manually remove it or something. I'm not very good with technology however.
