How to get something out of my headphone jack? (IPhone)?

One day I was plugging in my beats and the tip of them broke off into my phone. (Before you assume, no they aren t fake beats. And cords cost like $10 to replace.) IIm scared to get it out with tweezers because I don't want to push it further into the jack and then not be able to hear sound on my phone. What should I do? I don't get a new phone until at least July 2016 and I might not even get one then, and I really want to be able to just pop in earbuds and listen to music.

I have given advice about this here, numerous times. You can try to BURP it out (see my other responses), but otherwise, insert NOTHING into that socket. Forget the toothpick and glue fiasco. Sometimes folks at a local Repair cafe run by volunteers can help - or it just needs to go into the shop. With any luck, someone at the store where you got it can do this, and you will not have to go to an Apple store.

  • What is the newest iPhone out that still has the headphone jack? I'm thinking of getting a new phone but I'm not particularly great with technology so android seems to be too difficult for me. I'm looking at getting another iPhone but from my understanding it seems there's no newer ones with the headphone jack and i'm not willing to purchase one without it. It's a big money scam that they removed it. What is the newest one out that still comes with the jack?
  • Somehow, a huge piece of the headphone jack got stuck in the headphone port, and I can't find any I think the headphone type is just a normal iPhone headphone. So ground, audio, mic and some of the plastic, or whatever it is, around it, got stuck in there, and it's not super deep, probably because it's almost the whole headphone jack, but it's still in there. Someone please help! I can't find anything! It's just the headphone jack tip that got stuck for everyone else! It's a laptop.
  • Is my iPhone the cause of my headphone jack breaking? So I have an iPhone 4S and I was using these headphones for about a year and all the sudden the jack you plug in to the phone, bent. It wouldn't work anymore. I don't know how this happened, it may not have been my iPhone. However, now I have a new pair of headphones and I just want to make sure it isn't my phone doing this, could it be my phone or is that very unlikely?
  • Iphone headphone jack problem? The case I use for my iPhone pushes against my headphone jack when I plug it in, meaning the headphone jack barely fits in the phone, lately I have been hearing some static from my headphones, could this be from the misalignment of the jack and audio socket caused by the case? I tried multiple pairs of headphones so they are not causing the problem.
