How to I fix my iPhone headphone jack?
One day I was going out and my phone was dead so I decided to charge it in my car. It was an old car by the way and so we had cords that allowed us to play music from my phone and also to charge. I was showing my dad a new song and plugged the cord into the headphone jack but the music wouldn't play. After awhile I decided to put the headphones on and try to play music and I did but it sounded far away if you know what I mean. So I'm guessing the cord really jammed the headphone jack and I had no idea it would mess up my phone. Kinda affected my charging part alil but not as bad as the headphone jack. What can I do? It sucks not having music in my ears! Also Apple is charging $270 to fix which us very ridiculous! Any advice?
You can probably get a replace jack on ebay for under $5, but you'll need some tools to get the screen off, and some screwdrivers for iDevices, and maybe even a soldering iron - Don't forget a bunch of patience.
- What is the little hole besides the headphone jack on the iphone 4? Okay i have heard people with att that has an iphone say that if they stick a pin in the hole that a dim card tray will pop out. But my iphone is with sprint so i thought they didn't have sim cards so what will happen if i hit the button. * i'm not trolling this is my first time having anything from apple i'm a android person. * please no smart remarks!
- Somehow, a huge piece of the headphone jack got stuck in the headphone port, and I can't find any I think the headphone type is just a normal iPhone headphone. So ground, audio, mic and some of the plastic, or whatever it is, around it, got stuck in there, and it's not super deep, probably because it's almost the whole headphone jack, but it's still in there. Someone please help! I can't find anything! It's just the headphone jack tip that got stuck for everyone else! It's a laptop.
- Should I fix my iPhone headphone jack or buy Bluetooth headphones? I have an iPhone 3GS that has a broken headphone jack so I can only get volume out of one side. Should I get this fixed or should I buy bluetooth/wireless headphones. The repair costs $60 and most wireless headphones are at least $100. Would it be worth the money for good headphones rather than the repair. I have only used cheap $20 headphones before. Any links to good Bluetooth headphones at a decent price would be appreciated
- Is my iPhone the cause of my headphone jack breaking? So I have an iPhone 4S and I was using these headphones for about a year and all the sudden the jack you plug in to the phone, bent. It wouldn't work anymore. I don't know how this happened, it may not have been my iPhone. However, now I have a new pair of headphones and I just want to make sure it isn't my phone doing this, could it be my phone or is that very unlikely?
