How to import songs to iTunes from external hard drive?
I have all my songs on an external hard drive, and have recently bought a new laptop (PC). I have an iPhone so want to import all the songs from the hard drive onto the new laptop.
Is there any easy way to do this? I can only seem to "add folder to library", which takes AGES if you have to add every individual folder one by one…
Drag your itunes music library folder to the itunes application whilst open, the drag and drop should start the import process of you whole library.
That or export an xml containing your library info from your other machine and transfer it over to the new machine and import that.

- Is the NAS (Network Attached Storage) the best external hard drive option for a home? I have been looking at the WD MyCloud 4Tb version specifically to store my iTunes music library and any videos I may have in the future. Been wondering if via the NAS, one can access their iTunes music in their cars without having to store the music on a local flash storage drive like on their iPhones. Everything can be remotely accessed through their NAS at home.
