How to insert a sim card into an iphone a1387?

I received a gift iphone a1387. I already have the mini sim card but I can't figure out how to put it inside the phone. How do I open it?

There's a small pin hole on the side of the phone, you need to push that in with a straightened out paper clip.

  • Will an iphone 4 change carrier if i just insert a new sim? My brother has inherited our dads old iPhone 4, and it was on O2. But now he has a 3 sim, and he is trying to install it. He took out the old sim and inserted the new one while it was on. And nothings happening. Is this normal? Has he broken it? Please reply as soon as possible!

I read on internet that many t-mobile users have started using iphone after they buy it unlocked. But i went to at and t store and they said it will not work with t-mobile and that if i sign up contract with them, only then it will work. so who is liar - the internet users or the at and t shop?
