How to keep my apps and music separate from iPod and iPhone?

Got a new iPhone 5 but now don't want the whole space being filled with all my songs and rather keep all my songs and apps just on my iPod.

So how can I separate the two or is their no way. Cause my iPhone 5 is 16gb and my iPod has 22GB of songs.

Of course you can separate it, just set your itunes to manual and only copy over what you want, if you don't want songs on it then just don't copy them. The apps you just install through the appstore icon on the phone.

Plug in your device, which ever. On your left under devices, click on your device that you plgged in. On your screen there are options Summary Info Apps Music Movies. So on. Click on music. Make sure Sync Music is on. Select "Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres." And just check all the artists, or albums, or songs you want on THAT device. Repeat with the other one.

When connecting iPhone & iPod with one iTunes account, you first need to create two groups of contacts in your address book most preferably on your Mac. Then on the Info tab in iTunes, just select the contacts and other apps that you want to sync for that iPhone.

  • Should I keep music on my Ipod or switch it to my Iphone 5? So I just got an Iphone 5. But I had an Ipod before that. Should I put all my music on my iphone or just listen to it on my Ipod? Will putting it on my Iphone take up a lot of space? I have 186 songs and my Iphone is 16 gb. Should I keep my music on Ipod or switch to Iphone?
  • Saving photos to a separate album on iPhone? I would like to save pictures from I funny and wallpaper apps exc to my phone but I don't what them in my camera roll with my real pictures. • Put iPod music on new iphone without losing iphone apps? I have a ton of music on my iPod I want to add to my new iphone. My family's iTunes library is huge and there's a lot of stuff I don't want - so I only want what is on my iPod. • My aunt and uncle have the same Apple ID. I think they need separate ones, do they? I've told them to get separate ones in the event that they need to back up their phones or get new ones. Don't they need separate ones? They hardly back up their phones or hook up their iPhones to the computer.
