How to know if a guy likes you?

How do I know if this guy actually likes me? In the past (grade 9), he always seemed interested in me for some reason (looking at me, coming up with random conversations). Then in the second semester of grade 11 is when I really started to like him back (didn't make it too obvious tho). The first day of the new semester he was in my first period class and when I walked by him to go to my table (at this time we weren't sitting together) he said "Oh! You're in this class!" I gave him a half smile and said "I'm".

A few weeks pass, and because of the people at my table I found myself sitting at his table. (Each table fits about 4-5 people). There I would always catch him looking at me and he'd always ask me what I think of his artwork.

One day I showed up to school with an iPhone and immediately he noticed I had changed phones and asked me for my number. Having the phone for less than 24 hours, honestly I forgot my phone number: s and told him straight up "Haha, funny story. I actually don't remember my number, this phone is new" and his friend jumped in and said "haha, she's lying & just doesn't want you to have it". Which was not true and eventually I did give it to him.

The week before exam week I texted him saying "Hey! How about we hangout at lunch or something before exams start". He ignored me. Did he ignore me cause he got the message late? Does he not want to hangout with me?

Now being a couple months later, I'm more careful with how much I text him. Like most times I text him every couple of weeks. But we do not talk unless I start the conversation. I feel like texting him everyday for like 3-5 days, then go a week without and see if he will notice & text me first. Would that work?

. I followed him on Instagram and his little "note" or whatever says "follow me & I will follow you". This was weeks ago and he still hasn't followed me back. Being a guy I know he might not check Instagram that much but I noticed he liked this other girls photo a couple days ago, so he must have seen that I followed him. Should I ask him about it? Maybe I could say "I'm disappointed" He'll ask why then I'll say "Because its been weeks & you still haven't followed me on Instagram. "

I need all the help I can get!

Maybe you waited a little too long. Something good could of happened early but don't worry about that. Now the worst thing you want to do is chase a guy because he will feel that you want him and miss him and se guys may take advantage of that. Don't get hurt. Don't confront him about the Instagram thing. For right now just keep it face to face. To me If I liked a girl I wouldn't be ignoring her or just asking small questions. Instead I would be all up in her business and checking what she's up to and texting her first. I believe a guy should make all the first moves but some guys find it like a turn-on when girls make the first move. Also check if he has a girl. Maybe he'll come back.
