How to know if my iPhone is using iMessage or texts?
I have an iPhone 5 with no texting plan( everyone has iPhone so there's kinda no point in paying when there's iMessage) and when I turn I message on it says activation unsucsessful but to test it I sent a text from my iPod touch and I received it on my phone, so is this using iMessage? My iPhone still says iMessage activation unsuccessful but I did receive the text and on the top of the chat it says IMessage so is it working or am I paying per text?
IMessage is in blue and white writing and ou have to be texting an iPad, iPhone, ect…

Imessage is only for apple products as in ipods iphones ipads macbooks

A regular text message will be in a green bubble.
An iMessage will be in a blue bubble, and will also have "Delivered" and sometimes "Read" (depending on the settings of the receiving device) under the messages you send.
Also, when you receive a message, the alert will come up and say the name of the sender, then either text message or iMessage.
IMessage = blue bubble
Regular texts = green bubble
IMessage bubbles are blue, compared to regular, which are green.
- Why does my iPhone sometimes send texts to other iPhones as iMessages then regular texts to iPhones? Like when I send a text to my friend that has an iphone, it usually sends as an iMessage then it will randomly send as just a regular text and it will be green and not blue.
- Stop iMessage from opening texts automatically on iphone? Is there a jailbreak tweak that can disable iMessage from opening texts that you have not read automatically? It is really annoying when I open iMessage and I only have one message and it automatically opens the message. Especially since I have read receipts on. Sometimes I do not want to read them yet!

I'm on a tarrif where i get unlimited text 150 mins and 250mb of data (Vodafone) and i was texting my mother and all of a sudden my texts wouldnt send and then my network went it came up no service on my phone ( i'm using an iphone 3gs i don't care about what phone i have as long as i have one lol ) then my network came back on and i have my internet and my calls but don't have my texts can anyone help me to sort this out
- Is there a way(without computer)to move my texts from my iPad to my IPhone? ICloud backup? Had to restore phone to last backup and lost texts? Hi, yesterday I had to reset my phone (IPhone 8 plus) to factory default and restore it to its last backup (April 15th). I also have an iPad mini, which everything is Synced. I got everything back on my phone (up to date) except my text messages. I'm not able to access my computer right now and have read you can get them back my backing up you messages to ICloud. Is there anything I can do to get them back on my phone (they are still on my iPad mini), without using my Mac?
