How to know the status of my AT&T iPhone IMEI?
I'm attempting to sell my iPhone on eBay and one potential buyer asked me if it had a clean esn/imei. According to some brief research I did, those are used to prevent stolen iPhones from being sold. I bought mine directly from the Apple Store and when I got my new phone at the AT&T store, they transferred my number from the iPhone to my new phone. Also, I unregistered my iPhone from my Apple ID.
So my question is twofold: is there anything else I need to do? And can I safely assume the imei is good? I already reset the phone to factory condition, but should I turn it back on and reconfigure it to look at the imei and call AT&T to check it?
Imei is scratched and disabled and well "dirty" when you go through a special flashing process to wipe all data on it and make it look like a new phone. Trouvle is, the new imei might be unsupported and alot of carriers might not be able to do anything about it and you have to do factory reset by sendeging it to apple which is not guaranteed will work. If you have never lost your phone it has a good and clean imei and you can tell mostly by if it easily connects to itunes and it recognizes the imei AND if it connects to carrier it is good
- Why is my iPhone 4S not displaying the status bar when I'm on Safari? I was on YouTube and then I look up and the status bar on my iPhone wasn't there! It's there on any other app but on Safari it totally disappears. What is wrong with my iPhone? No my phone is new. I got it for my birthday about 6 months ago. It was in its box and my parents got it at best buy. So it's not jail broken.
- Why doesn't my Facebook status say via iPhone? I have an iPhone 5. I have the Facebook app installed and I use it. I have already put in my details in the Settings. My status always says "via Mobile". How do I get it to say " via iPhone" or "via iPhone 5"? It doesn't matter which one.
- What is this iphone 4 status bar icon? This icon is a red horn with marks coming out of it simulating sound I suppose. I flip the silent/loud switch on and off and it doesn't make a difference. And a bonus, this icon is a phone, just a phone like one on a flip phone answer button. Please assist!
- Problems Updating facebook status from iphone? When i pull down the notification center thing, it used to have a section where i could update my facebook status but it's not there anymore. Is something wrong with my phone, or?
