YTD (YouTube Downloader) is great. You can use it to save the music videos to your phone or just the music like you said. Just install it on your computer and you have the option of choosing which file format you want. Its pretty straight forward.
You can get it from cnet

or from their site

Here is a video on how to use it
And yes the music or videos are in high quality. And yes its free, just ignore yearly subscription, I have the free version and it works just fine.

- IPhone 4- I can't watch videos on youtube or any other videos? On youtube it keeps on saying playback error or either that it loads way too long that I give up. I've cleared the cache. I'm not sure whether I have good connection or not but I guess that I do have good connection. Is there any way to fix this?
- I would like to know how to convert Youtube files to MP3 on my Iphone 4? I have an iPhone 4 & would like to know the simplest way to conver youtube songs to MP3 on my device with out having to do any sort of "jail breaking" as I do NOT want to do that. It would be a big help if I can do it on my iPad as well as I have iCloud. If anybody can give specific instructions it would be very helpful. I'm relatively new to IOs.
