How to make a gif of a movie on my iPhone?
All these apps have methods of making gifs of self-recorded videos, but how can I make a gif of a downloaded movie on the iphone?
You can't. Copy write laws… The same reason that you can't transfer apps and music from one ID to another… As stupid as it sounds I'm 100% serious.

After saving it to my camera role I uploaded it to tumblr but instead of playing as a GIF it stayed as a JPEG and didn't play So I sent it to myself on iMessage because usually that is when a GIF plays and saved the one I sent to myself, uploaded that, then it still didn't play?
