How to make a small social networking app for free?

Me and a bunch of friends want to design our own social network so we can have it the way we want. Is there any way we can do this for free? I need it to be on iphone and android

I bet you just watched The Social Network movie and think that you can build a social network in a couple of hours without having a clue of where to start.

You need to learn Android development and iOS development, two separate systems development kits (SDKs).

Its not free. Its also not amateur hour, most are paying and are pretty serious about it.

  • What are some unique social networking iPhone apps? I'm not talking about Facebook, or KIK, or Instagram. I've found some other unique apps that I think are great like Whisper: You pretty much post a secret of yours and random people will respond or like it. Thumb: Post a picture with a question and random people will answer and give you feedback. Crossfader: Somewhat of a social app, you make playlists and share with others and listen to others' playlists. Anyone know any unique ones?
  • Software for business networking? Is there some sort of software that allows me to make a spider web chart of everyone I know? I want to be able to draw lines between people showing how they're connected and click on each person to see basic information on who they are, what they do, and their contact information. Thanks!   • Social networking apps for iPad/iPhone? Does anyone know of any kind of Social Networking apps for the iPad or iPhone? I have Twitter, Instagram and Facebook on here, but nothing else. I get really bored and need something to do? Even if it isn't a Social Networking app, anything that will keep me from being so bored?
  • Is there an anti-social app for iPhone users? My parents where telling me about some app that they heard on the Katie Curric show talking about being able to "blackout" your phone for a day or 2, but there's also an app that limits you to no social networking sites. I can't seem to find it and was hoping that maybe someone else knew of it?
