How to make apple ear-pods work for Sony Ericsson lti8 (xperia arc S)?

I have no idea what I'm talking about so I won't pretend that I do. So I just bought the new apple earpods and was really excited I don't usually buy apple products but this was an exception. To my surprise their was a compatibility issue between the earpods and my Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S as far as I know the iphone 5 and my phone both have a 3.5mm headphone jack and the earpods fit into my phone with no problems the only visual difference between the earpods and the ear buds that came with my phone is that the earpods have 4 of these "poles" better described in this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/...?t=1347970 whereas all my other headphones have 3 I've managed to make the headphones work by plugging them in 3/4ths of the way into my phone but this is only a temporary fix i'm looking for an adapter (preferably white to match the earpods) that will fit both my phone and the earpods so far i've found this but I don't want to waste my money on something that may or may not work http://uk.cellphoneshop.net/35mmwhite.html

I think the headphones are broken i have an arc and my sister has an iphone 5 and the earbuds work fine on mine take them back if i was you… And you can get much better earbud for much less… I recommend sony's anything by them its all good… Best i've ever had

Yours may or may not be defective. If I where you I would exchange them. The earpods are totally worth the money but if they don't work get a different pair.

  • Will the simcard in my iPhone 4 work in a Sony Xperia Z? I'm going to upgrade my phone to the Sony Xperia Z and I wanted to know a little more about sim cards. By putting my current simcard into a new phone will I get the same service I'm getting right now? And if so is it compatible for my new phone? Is there anything else i'll need to know?

  • Why won't my 3 sim work in my Sony Ericsson mobile? Right now I have an 02 pay as you go sim in my unlocked Sony Ericsson phone it works fine. I've put in my 3 contract sim in and it comes up on the screen "invalid sim". I'm using a very old phone as mine was stolen. From looking at the sims, 02s has a large chip and 3s is quite small so maybe the phone can't read it? If that's the reason can I request a larger chip from 3? This is second sim I've requested from them after they stupidly sent me an iPhone one.
  • Sony Xperia Ion vs Apple IPhone 4S? This guy really wants to trade me, but first I want to ensure it will favor me. From reveiws it seems to be in my favor since both phones are in perfect shape. However, what are your opinions? And will my sim card go into the ion?
