How to make it say 'imessage' on the lock screen?
I have an iphone5. When people text me, on the lock screen it shows the actual text. Instead of their text being there i want it to say 'iMessage' and i've seen peoples phones do that, how do i make it like that? My parents are nosy and think they can check what people are texting me…
Maybe with a jailbreak and knowledge of iOS
Go to Notification Center, and go to Messages, and turn off Show Preview

This is not what you want
- Why does it say imessage instead of text message? I have an iphone and whenever i txt my cousin who was a recent iphone user, but now she uses htc, it says imessage instead of a regular txt message so she doesn't receive my texts.
- When does imessage say read? Ok this might seem like a stupid question but i just got an iphone and was wondering the thing only will say read to the other person after you actuallly open the message right? Not just like when you're on your phone and it knows you saw it because the message went across the top of your screen?
- What does it mean if an imessage doesn't say delivered on iPhone? Every time I text my date it either says "read" or "delivered", but this morning I texted him and I haven't heard from him and the iMessage doesn't say read or delivered?
- Is their a way to make your screen lock? IPhone 4? You know how you are lying down sometimes and your watching a video or texting and the screen changes it's direction as the same way your laying down. Is their a way where you can lock your screen to stay the same direction when you are lying down. So it can't change the direction? Using iPhone 4
